Accuplacer and Proctored Exam Testing Procedures

Please complete our to schedule a proctored exam at the JSCC Testing Center.  If you need to take more than one proctored exam, you must complete a separate request for each specific exam that you plan to take.

The Testing Center cannot guarantee that your preferred time will be available, especially during busy times of the semester.  It is important for you to schedule your exam as far in advance as possible. All exams must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. We are currently unable to accommodate requests outside of the established operating hours for the Testing Center.

If you are a current or prospective JSCC student and need to take the Accuplacer Placement Exam, this form will allow you to indicate whether you wish to take the placement exam on the JSCC campus in the Testing Center or remotely using a third-party service. Please note that there is a proctoring fee of $29.50 associated with the remote testing option which will be paid by the student. For in-person testing, our standard timeslots for the Accuplacer testing are on Tuesdays and Thursdays; however, we will try our best to accommodate other appointment requests when possible. .

Review these  prior to taking your Accuplacer Placement Exam. JSCC offers the following exams: Reading, Writing, and Quantitative Reasoning Algebra and Statistics (Math).

If you are requesting any type of testing accommodations, you must coordinate with the Disability Resource Center prior to scheduling your appointment.

ADA Testing Accommodations

If you are requesting any type of testing accommodations, you must coordinate with the Disability Resource Center prior to scheduling your appointment.

All exams are scheduled by appointment only. ADA appointments should be made at least 48 hours in advance to ensure accommodations are available.

Exam Proctoring Request Form for Faculty

Please complete our if you would like to have the Testing Center proctor an exam for one or more of your students. A separate request should be completed for each individual assignment; however, multiple students can be included on the same request for an individual assignment. In order to ensure that the Testing Center is able to assist as many people as possible, please complete this request as soon as possible, but at least 1 week in advance of the date the exam will be available for students. Any student(s) receiving accommodations must coordinate with the Office of Disability Resources prior to scheduling an appointment for testing.
